Levi Petree, a product of Louisiana's Cajun Country, just reached the three year mark in L.A. Before he took the world of non-union shorts and student cinema by storm, he studied at The Steppenwolf School in Chicago. Several of his classmates banded together to form the SiNNERMAN Ensemble, a theatre company he's happy to say reminds him of Mutineer in its artistic bravery and commitment to excellence in live storytelling. Levi has worked with MTC as an actor in The Mill and Gospel of a Teenage Jesus, and the dialect coach for The Woodpecker.
In Chicago, his credits included The Incredibly Famous Willy Rivers, Sweet Confinement, The Unmentionables, Stand-Up Tragedy, Caravaggio, The Importance of Being Earnest, Savage Love, and Otherwise Engaged. The last two years, he has returned to Louisiana to work with Lagniappe Theatre on The Foreigner and See How They Run. He was also seen in Brendan Behan's The Hostage at Theatre Banshee, in Burbank. His film credits include the dark comedy Positive Type, Post-Post Apocalypse, Incident, Flophouse (pilot), Brando Unauthorized, Multi-level Relationship, Stick in the Mud, and a few others you've probably never heard of.
When things are slow in the acting world, Levi writes and plays music, runs til he can't go any further and then realizes he has to run home, eats enough sweets to put Superfat Marlon Brando to shame, and spends time obsessing over the New Orleans Saints. His favorite thing to do in L.A., though, is put the top down, turn the radio up, and drive. You're welcome to join him.
